Outspoken for 4-H

Making the best better

Our crew and riders use their Heads Hearts Hands and Health for
WV campers. Our yearly Outspoken for 4-H ride raises money to send WV youth to camp.

About Outspoken

Outspoken began as the dream of Jeff Yokum. He wanted a way to give back to the WV camping programs that also showcased and promoted the Health tenant of the 4-H program. Many others including planners and crew like Barb Teter were indispensable in turning that dream into a reality. 2003 was the first Outspoken ride, along the Eastern route.Over the years, we have ridden to Jackson's Mill, the home of WV state camps from the East, West, North, and South! Dozens of 4-H campers have seen our ride and later participated helping to continue to live the 4 Hs into adulthood. The Outspoken program had paused for a few years but we are excited to announce it has recently reformed! Our next ride is in conjunction with Volunteer Weekend in September 2026 before the full return of the Outspoken Ride in 2027.We are working on mapping and tagging previous and upcoming rides on the website/app:
Ride with GPS Search for rides #Outspoken4H with the year to view specific routes we have taken.
